For e-commerce and DTC brands
Find out if AI assistants recommend your products
Shoppers now ask "best running shoes for flat feet" and read the answer before they open a single product page. Citegram shows whether your brand is in that answer, next to whom, and which pages it came from.
- 7 AI assistants
- No API key
- Free plan, Pro from $10
Your questions are asked in background tabs, exactly as a buyer would type them.
Sound familiar?
01
Discovery is moving into the answer
A shopper who asks an assistant for the best espresso machine under $500 gets a short list and a reason for each pick. If your brand isn't on it, your ads and product pages never get the chance to make the case.
02
The answer is built from pages you don't own
Assistants lean on review sites, "best of" listicles, forums and retailer pages. Your own site may be a minor voice in a conversation about your own products.
03
You can't see which pages get cited
Is it your product page, a retailer listing, a magazine roundup or a Reddit thread that puts a competitor first? Without that list, PR, affiliate and content budgets go to guesses.
What Citegram does for you
Whether your brand is named, and where
For each prompt, Citegram records whether your brand is mentioned and its position in the answer, in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, DeepSeek, Grok and Google AI Overviews.
The brands you're compared with
Add the competitors you share shelf space with and see share of voice per brand and per assistant. You'll often find a brand you didn't consider a rival winning the answer.
The review sites and listicles that matter
Every answer keeps the links it cited, and the dashboard ranks the most cited domains. That tells you which reviewers, roundups and retailers to work with first.
Google AI Overviews, tracked separately
For each Google search, see whether an AI Overview appeared and which sources it cited. Useful for the high-intent searches where your product pages used to win the click.
What ChatGPT searched for
For ChatGPT, Citegram records the web searches it ran to answer. Searches like "espresso machine under 500 reviews" show which queries your pages and your partners' pages need to show up for.

FAQ
Questions E-commerce brands
How do I get my products recommended by ChatGPT?
Make your product pages clear about who each product is for, what it costs and how it compares, and make sure OpenAI's search crawler can reach them. Then work on the third-party pages assistants cite for your category, such as review sites and roundups. Measure the same shopper prompts over time to see what moves.
Which prompts should an e-commerce brand track?
Questions shoppers ask before they pick a brand: "best X for Y", "best X under [price]", gift questions and problem-led questions like "shoes for flat feet". Leave your brand name out, and keep the same wording over time.
Does Citegram track ChatGPT Shopping or product carousels?
No. Citegram measures the written answer: whether your brand is mentioned, its position, the sources cited and, for ChatGPT, the searches it ran. It doesn't track product feeds, shopping carousels or merchant programs.
Can I see whether Google shows an AI Overview for my product searches?
Yes. For Google, Citegram records whether an AI Overview appeared and which sources it cited, alongside the six other assistants.
Why do assistants recommend a competitor's product instead of mine?
Usually because the pages they read mention that product more often or more clearly. Look at the domains cited for your prompts and check how each one describes you. The gap is often on review sites and listicles rather than on your own store.
Shoppers are asking AI first.
Be in the answer they get.
